Equipment and transportation configurations

CG Logística works with different types and capacities of equipment, from relatively small loads to higher-volume shipments.

The configuration is assigned according to each shipment, rather than limiting the operation to a single type of vehicle.

Dry box or flatbed

Dry box

Protects the goods from direct exposure to rain, dust, wind, and other outside conditions. It suits packed goods, boxes, finished products, raw materials, industrial components, commercial products, and palletized freight.

Flatbed

Makes loading and unloading easier and can carry products that do not fit easily inside a closed box, including industrial material, machinery, equipment, structures, and construction materials.

01 / 05Configuration

1-tonne unit

  • Dry box

Suited to lower-volume work and goods that need to travel in a closed unit.

Exact weight capacity, interior dimensions, and pallet count are confirmed for the unit assigned.

Frequent uses

  • Boxes
  • Packed goods
  • Commercial products
  • Spare parts
  • Materials
  • Local deliveries
  • Light distribution

02 / 05Configuration

3.5-tonne unit

  • Dry box
  • Flatbed

Available as a dry box, for goods that should stay protected from weather and outside exposure, and as a flatbed, for goods that are easier to load and unload that way or that do not fit a closed box because of their dimensions.

Exact weight capacity, interior dimensions, and pallet count are confirmed for the unit assigned.

  • Equipment
  • Loads with particular dimensions, within operating limits

03 / 05Configuration

Rabón

  • Dry box
  • Flatbed

Rabón is the name of this straight-truck configuration. It is used for loads that require more capacity. The configuration is selected according to the shipment, the protection required, the dimensions, and the loading and unloading conditions.

Exact weight capacity, interior dimensions, and pallet count are confirmed for the unit assigned.

04 / 05Configuration

53-foot dry van

  • Dry box

For higher-volume work, CG Logística can coordinate service with 53-foot dry vans.

Exact weight capacity, interior dimensions, and pallet count are confirmed for the unit assigned.

05 / 05Configuration

Flatbed

  • Flatbed

Extends the ability to carry products that cannot easily be loaded inside a closed box. Each load is reviewed before a flatbed is assigned.

Direct capacity and a carrier network

The operating model combines units and resources under CG Logística’s direct operation with a network of carriers that can join certain jobs according to the type of cargo, availability, capacity, the route, and the configuration required.

This model widens the equipment options available for each job.

Frequently asked questions

  1. Is the configuration chosen according to the load?

Yes. Before a configuration is assigned, the goods, weight, dimensions, origin, destination, date, and any special requirements are reviewed. That information determines the suitable configuration: 1 tonne, 3.5 tonnes, Rabón, or a 53-foot dry van, as a dry box or a flatbed as applicable.

  2. When is a dry box suitable, and when a flatbed?

A dry box protects the goods from rain, dust, wind, and other outside conditions. It suits packed goods, boxes, finished product, and palletized freight. A flatbed makes loading and unloading easier and is used for goods that, because of their dimensions, do not fit a closed box, such as machinery, equipment, or structures. Each load is reviewed before a flatbed is assigned.

  3. What is the exact capacity of each configuration?

Weight capacity, interior dimensions, and pallet count are confirmed for the unit assigned to each job. That is why the weight and dimensions of the load should be included in the quote request.

  4. Do you only use your own units?

CG Logística combines direct operating capacity — units and resources it operates directly — with a carrier network that can join certain jobs according to the type of cargo, availability, capacity, the route, and the configuration required.
